Ingredients
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp sea salt
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
3/4 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs (room temperature)
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chunks (or chips)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
In a large bowl, cream butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy (about 2 minutes).
Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract.
Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined.
Fold in chocolate chunks. Chill dough for 30 minutes for thicker cookies.
Scoop dough onto baking sheet (about 2 tablespoons each).
Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are golden and centers are soft.
Let cookies cool on the sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
For crispier cookies, bake 1–2 minutes longer.
Chill dough for at least 30 minutes to prevent spreading.
Use high-quality chocolate for gooey texture.
Add a pinch of flaky sea salt on top for extra flavor.
