Description

These cookie dough brownies combine fudgy chocolate with sweet, edible cookie dough in one indulgent, crowd-pleasing dessert.

Brownie Layer:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 1/4 tsp baking powder

Cookie Dough Layer (edible):

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 tbsp milk (or cream)

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour (heat-treated)

  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips


Instructions

  • Bake the Brownie Layer:
    Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease or line an 8×8-inch pan. Mix melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Stir in cocoa, flour, salt, and baking powder. Bake for 20–22 minutes. Let cool completely.

  • Prepare Cookie Dough Layer:
    Cream butter and sugars. Add milk and vanilla. Mix in heat-treated flour. Fold in chocolate chips.

  • Assemble:
    Spread cookie dough over the cooled brownie layer. Press gently to flatten. Chill 30 minutes before slicing.

 

  • Serve:
    Cut into squares and enjoy chilled or at room temp.

Notes

  • Chill before slicing for clean cuts

  • Use heat-treated flour to keep cookie dough safe
