Description

A rich and creamy chicken pasta dish made with garlic, parmesan, sun-dried tomatoes, and Italian seasoning. This Marry Me Chicken Pasta is the perfect 30-minute meal for romantic dinners or cozy weeknights.


Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • Salt and black pepper (to taste)

  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

  • 3 garlic cloves, minced

  • ½ cup sun-dried tomatoes (in oil, drained and chopped)

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • ½ cup low-sodium chicken broth

  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese

  • 8 oz penne or rigatoni pasta

  • Optional: red pepper flakes, spinach, or fresh basil


Instructions

  • Season the chicken with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.

  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear chicken 4–5 minutes per side until golden. Remove and set aside.

  • In the same skillet, sauté garlic and sun-dried tomatoes for 1–2 minutes.

  • Pour in chicken broth and scrape the pan to deglaze.

  • Stir in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Add parmesan cheese and whisk until smooth.

  • Cook pasta separately until al dente.

  • Slice chicken and return to the pan. Add pasta and toss everything together. Simmer for 2–3 minutes.

 

  • Serve hot. Garnish with extra parmesan or basil if desired.

Notes

For extra flavor, add red pepper flakes or toss in baby spinach before simmering. This pasta reheats well just add a splash of cream or broth when warming.
